The Sand Storm Lacrosse Festival is here to stay.
The Sand Storm Lacrosse Festival and AEG, the management arm of the Empire Polo Club, have announced a lease extension that will keep the event at this iconic location for at least two more decades.
“We are excited to know we are in a long-term relationship with this event,” said Mark Girton, VP of Special Events at Empire Polo Club. “It will continue to allow us to grow together and provide a first-class experience for all our guests.”
This agreement ensures that the Sand Storm Lacrosse Festival will operate on the weekend before Martin Luther King Day annually through 2046. “Securing a long-term agreement of this caliber is truly rare in our industry. It not only gives Sand Storm the opportunity to build on its incredible legacy, but also allows us to keep innovating and elevating the athlete, family, and fan experience for years to come. We’re thrilled to continue growing this festival in partnership with the Empire Polo Club,” said Gretchen Lasda, Director of Events at the Sand Storm Lacrosse Festival.
