Halpern Travel is the official Housing Partner for the Sand Storm Lacrosse Festival. While the Festival is not stay-to-play, it does require that rooms at official host hotels be booked through Halpern Travel. Do not contact host hotels directly. If a team / club books rooms at any official host hotel outside of Halpern Travel, tournament registration will be rescinded.

Airport Security Notice: Lacrosse sticks cannot be taken through the security checkpoint. To facilitate a smoother travel experience for all, please pack lacrosse sticks in your checked luggage. By adhering to these guidelines and packing your lacrosse equipment appropriately, you contribute to an overall smoother travel experience for everyone.

PARKING PASS INFORMATION

Parking passes will go on sale Tues 12/8/26 at 9:00 AM pst

Parking Passes:

  • Parking passes are required for parking at the venue on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • GA, VIP and VVIP parking pass options will be available.
  • You are not required to provide your license plate information at the time of purchase; however, it must be entered prior to your arrival to the venue.

ADA Parking:

  • ADA parking is available in all parking lots.
  • There is no separate ADA designation when purchasing a parking pass.
  • Upon arrival onsite please present your parking pass and ADA placard to the parking attendants, who will direct you to the designated ADA parking area within the lot.

PARKING INFORMATION

Please plan ahead and allow extra time for arrival and parking. With 87 fields in use, increased traffic and congestion are expected surrounding the venue from 6:30 AM – 9:00 AM (especially on Saturday morning). We recommend arriving extra early to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience.

Parking Lot Details:

  • On Saturday / Sunday all parking lots open at 6:00 AM and close at 6:00 PM.
  • Overnight parking is not permitted in any parking lot.
  • ADA parking is available in all lots. An ADA placard, valid ID, and a parking pass for the corresponding lot are required.
  • After parking, please drop a pin or take note of your surroundings to help you locate your vehicle post event.

Parking Passes:

  • You must have your mobile parking pass clearly displayed upon entry to the lot each day.
  • You are not required to provide your license plate information at the time of purchase; however, it must be entered prior to your arrival onsite.

Exterior Road Regulations:

  • Park in designated areas only, as indicated on the parking map.
  • Roads around the Empire Polo Club are posted with ‘No Stopping’ signs.
  • Do not park in surrounding neighborhoods.
  • The Indio Police Department will be onsite to ticket or tow illegally parked vehicles in ‘No Stopping’ zones and neighborhoods.

Player Drop-Off / Rideshare Areas:

  • Designated drop-off / rideshare areas are located:
    • White Parking Lot
    • Corner of Madison St / Ave 50*
    • Corner of Monroe St / Ave 50*
  •  *Attendants will be available at Madison St / Ave 50 and Monroe St / Ave 50 to assist with drop-offs.
  • Do not park or leave vehicles unattended in the drop-off areas.

Oversized Vehicle Information:

  • Oversized vehicles (RVs, 12 passenger vans, sprinters etc.) are permitted to park during the day in the White Lot only.
  • If traveling by bus, you must contact the Tournament Director for pre-approval and assigned parking.
  • No overnight parking is allowed at the Empire Polo Club.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Prohibited Items:

  • In accordance with venue regulations, the Sand Storm Lacrosse Festival is required to enforce the removal of the following prohibited items. Security personnel will be on hand to ensure compliance as necessary.

      • Dogs
      • Golf carts
      • Motorized vehicles
      • Electric scooters
      • ATVs
      • Coolers / Outside food / Outside drinks (permitted for medical purposes only)
      • Drones
  • Manual Bicycles: Manual bicycles are permitted at the venue and must comply with all applicable venue regulations. Riding is allowed on paved walkways only. Bicycles are not permitted on grass areas. Riders must maintain safe speeds and remain mindful of pedestrian traffic at all times.
  • Bike Racks: Bike racks will be available on-site; however, attendees are responsible for bringing their own locks and for securing their personal property.

Onsite Transportation:

  • Shuttle Buses: Buses will be available to assist players and spectators with traversing the venue. Refer to the map for shuttle route information and look for designated stops onsite. Service begins at 1:30 Pm on Friday and 6:30 AM on Saturday and Sunday.
  • ADA Transportation: ADA transportation services can be requested at any of the information booths.
  • Golf Cart Transportation: Golf cart transportation will be available for hire throughout the venue.  Payments are accepted via Venmo, so be sure to download the app ahead of time to quickly scan the QR code and pay for your ride.
  • There will be NO pedicabs onsite.  Please plan accordingly. We have expanded internal shuttle bus service, added additional tram stops throughout the venue and golf cart transportation offerings.

Balloons & Field Markers:

  • Balloons: Balloons will be used to mark certain parking lots, medical stations, and select fields throughout the venue to assist with navigation.
  • Banners & Goal Numbers: Each field will be marked with teardrop banners and each goal will have goal numbers attached to the back.
  • All staff members will have a copy of the venue map to assist with attendee navigation.

Safety & Conveniences:

  • Information Booths: Located throughout the venue, these booths provide assistance and information. ADA transportation services can also be requested at these locations.
  • Field Marshals: Stationed at every field, field marshals can communicate with event staff, security, and trainers. Emergency services can be requested through them if needed.
  • Restrooms: Indoor restrooms and portable units will be available throughout the venue and will be continually serviced.
  • Water and Hydration Stations: Will be available for all players and spectators throughout the venue. Please bring your own reusable bottle.
  • Trash Receptacles: Trash cans will be placed throughout the venue. Pick up all gear and trash when changing fields.
  • Athletic Trainers: Certified athletic trainers will be stationed throughout the venue to provide first aid and emergency services. Trainers do not offer taping services.
  • Team Tents: Team tents are only permitted on the perimeter of the venue, away from fields, buildings, and walkways. Tents may not be placed between fields or in high-traffic areas, and all tents must be securely staked down or they will be removed.
  • Lost & Found: Pre-label gear and personal items with your name/number before arriving onsite. The event Lost and Found is located at the main registration tent in Lax Mall. If you have lost an item at the venue, please visit the main Lost and Found tent.
  • Safety Notice: Attendees voluntarily assume all risk of personal injury and any hazards arising from or related to attending the event. Please be aware that errant balls can cause serious injury. Stay alert at all times.

Vendors & Concessions:

  • Retail Vendors: An expansive vendor village area, the Lax Mall, will showcase the latest products, gear, services and partner showcases. Players and spectators can explore vendor booths and engage with lacrosse industry experts. Satellite vending areas will also be available throughout the venue.
  • Food Vendors: Food vendors will be located throughout the venue with a Food Truck Village located by Tram Stop E.  Check out the Food Listings by field location.
  • Lounges: Recharge and relax in one of the Onsite Lounges featuring shaded seating areas, beverages, and NFL coverage.
  • Bars: Available throughout the venue; ID required, 21+. Alcohol consumption is permitted exclusively on the grounds of the Empire Polo Club, and alcoholic beverages may not be removed from the premises under any circumstances.
  • Onsite Restaurants: Visit the Cantina and the Tack Room Tavern.
